Hi there! By day, I’m an entrepreneur, investor, and product leader. I’ve created over 60 web apps & plugins, from small WordPress add-ons to standalone platforms for ecommerce and email marketing. By evening (and sometimes, by very early morning), I’m a mom of 2 littles, movie buff, runner, enthusiastic reader, and musical theater geek.
What I do
I spend most of my time on Medley, where my partners and I invest in and buy fantastic businesses, especially in the software space. I also work part time in one of our subsidiaries — Kestrel — helping ecommerce entrepreneurs grown their companies.
Prior to Medley, I was one of the partners for SkyVerge (exited to GoDaddy in 2020), leading product development.
My path towards this was a bit winding: I trained as a chemist, dabbled in sports journalism, taught high school chemistry and coached varsity sports. I’ve been married since 2010 to my husband, Max Rice, my partner in parenting, travel, and business.
Fun Facts
- I’ve got 4 siblings. I’m used to loud noises and can sleep through pretty much anything.
- I used to teach high school Chemistry and am a certified chemist (obviously a Breaking Bad fan).
- I spent several years traveling the U.S. with nothing but two suitcases.
- I played softball for 20 years, including college.

- Movie trivia
- Taking things apart and trying to put them back together
- Cheesesteaks. God do I love a good cheesesteak.
- Music — playing, listening, singing along, Broadway, whatever.
- Awesome shoes. But only for short bursts of time. Then I hate shoes.
